U.S. ad sales set to surpass spending record in 2022

U.S. ad sales are expected to top $300 million this year thanks to connected TV and digital out-of-home.In the second half of the year, media intelligence company Manga predicts record-breaking spends driven both by emerging channels and hefty political ad budgets.Despite inflation, economic uncertainty, and rising costs, this anticipated spending record may shock some in the advertising industry.Some formats, like social media ads, have slowed down in 2022. However, ad spend has soared on other channels, led by OTT with a 30 percent growth and CTV with a 18 percent growth.
